Digital and Creative Assistant
Full Time £18p/a + bonus
We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital and Creative Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is confident and able work independently, with the ability to use their initiative to problem-solve when needed. Candidate must be a self-starter who is willing to schedule and prioritise their tasks each day. Great organisational and timekeeping skills are essential. Each day varies in the gallery, so we would like to find someone who is adaptable and able to manage several tasks at once. Working at a fast-pace will be required while setting up for exhibitions every quarter, which often includes longer days.
Day to day you will be Front of House in the gallery, greeting customers upon entry and assisting them with sales. You will also deal with customer enquiries and orders via telephone, email and social media. During quieter periods you will create email newsletters, so the role is ideal for someone with an enthusiasm for digital marketing. Ideal candidates will have an interest in design as you will be required to produce promotional materials for all upcoming events. This will include using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, so knowledge and experience is preferable here.
You will also be required to run our Shopify website. This includes photographing products, retouching images and uploading new products to our e-commerce site. The role also includes online order fulfilment and admin duties.
Knowledge of contemporary art is desirable but not essential, ideally we are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and contemporary design. We are a relaxed and creative team looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated person. Individuals will be required to provide maintain and keep the gallery clean and presentable at all times. Must be able to work weekends and evenings.

Social Media Manager
Freelance

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated social media to assistant to build and manage our social media presence. A good understanding of digital marketing and product promotion is essential. Photography skills will be required to create exciting content and keep our followers informed of new items and events in the gallery. The role requires utilising our social media platforms to showcase artwork and designer items in order to increase sales via our e-commerce website.
We are looking for an individual that can work independently to produce compelling content that suits the gallery’s unique style. Must be able to reflect our strong visual brand identity through images and tone of voice. You will be required to schedule content to be posted on multiple platforms regularly. Ideally you will have experience using social media management tools, such as Buffer or Hootsuite. Candidates must be enthusiastic about staying on top of ever-changing social media trends and insights. Knowledge of KPI’s and ability to track performance is desirable.
The ideal candidate will have a history of growing and fostering professional social media accounts. This is a primarily independent role. There will be some input from the Creative Director, however we would like to recruit someone with their own ideas for strategy and content.
