Collection: Miss Bugs
Miss Bugs, founded in 2007, started with a background in photography and graphics. The duo developed a unique, spontaneous approach, remixing and sampling existing images to create new artworks. Early on, they worked with small-scale paper pieces, combining screen printing and hand-painted elements. They later expanded to life-size cutouts of characters placed in the streets of London, blending art with urban landscapes.
Today, their work includes larger, more labor-intensive pieces using materials like laser-cut wood, small components, and poured resin. Despite this shift, Miss Bugs’ focus on mixing materials and modern imagery remains central, often exploring the human form through character-driven, collage-inspired portraits. Their work, influenced by artists like Hannah Höch, is known for bold graphic layers of color, pattern, and texture.
Miss Bugs has exhibited internationally in cities like New York, San Francisco, LA, Paris, and London, and their pieces are held in major private collections worldwide. They were featured in the 2021 Jealous x Saatchi Gallery show RIGHT HERE RIGHT NOW.
